Coastal Georgia
I spend a lot of time on the Georgia Coast. It is one of the last unspoiled areas on the East Coast. Developers and special interests are working hard to change that though. The Jekyll Island Authority is a controversial stewardship body appointed by the state legislature. Being a State Park for the people of Georgia, many state citizens are opposed to their constant redevelopment and commercialization of the island. As with all of our natural treasures, once its gone it is gone forever.
